Pfizer & Wyeth shareholders approve amalgamation

The shareholders of Pfizer and Wyeth have approved the amalgamation scheme by 99.99 per cent in value and 93.07 per cent in number at the respective Court convened meetings held on April 16, 2014.

Further, as required under SEBI Regulations, the public shareholders have approved, by postal ballot and e-voting process, the Scheme of Amalgamation by an overwhelming majority of 99.92 per cent for both Pfizer and Wyeth.

The company would now be seeking the final approval of the Hon’ble Bombay High Court and other regulatory authorities, as may be required under law.
